Mom's Story
Mom was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in August of 2017, a now treatable (with medication) neuromuscular disease.
She went through constant testing, medications and treatments all based on this diagnosis, physical therapy treatments aimed at strengthening her muscles proved ineffective and frustrating.
By Christmas 2017, mom had lost 90% of her mobility. Confined to a wheelchair, her hands barely able to squeeze the therapy sponges and she was unable to lift her arms much. It was during this time that we were introduced to CBD. So, we decided to give it a try - it couldn't hurt...
We gave mom her first dose of 1000mg Full Spectrum CBD on December 24, 2017, Christmas Eve. Not sure what to expect, I pulled out my phone to video her after about 15 minutes. We were absolutely amazed!! She was able to almost completely compress the sponges! Not only that, she was able to raise her arms up to near shoulder height by Christmas morning. This gave us all so much hope, we had to learn more about this CBD.
Laughter, Tears and Astonishment!
Mom just continued to fight, from hospital to hospital, physical therapy and ICU. We never missed a day of her CBD and continued to increase the mg as we were directed to. Regardless of our moms condition getting worse we could see the little bit of strength she had which we just knew wouldn't be there otherwise. By February 2018 it was realized that mom was misdiagnosed. The specialists we waited months to see at St Josephs said within 5 minutes of the visit that mom has ALS. Of course I didn't believe this because of how the CBD was helping her. There was no explanation to that... Unfortunately, as wonderful as CBD is, there is no cure for ALS yet. We never stopped the CBD as it was also helping her pain. Now it was time to just enjoy the laughter and the tears once again but in a different manner. Our mom passed on March 29, 2018 with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). She was one of the strongest, classiest and most beautiful women this world has ever known! Mom is extremely missed by all her family and friends and will continue to touch all of our lives everyday.
