VIDEO - Arthritis Foundation Advises Consumers on CBD Use

The Arthritis Foundation has released a series of recommendations for consumers wishing to safely and responsibly use CBD products derived from cannabis. The move is notable as they are the first patient advocacy group to do so despite cannabis not being legalized at the federal level. The interest from patients can't be denied however, as CBD oils and ointments have been used or are being considered for use by 80 percent of Americans who suffer from joint pain.

One distinct recommendation the foundation makes is to avoid CBD vaping as the FDA has yet to regulate CBD products and still developing evidence of vaping-linked illnesses. The guidelines were intended not to advocate for CBD use, but rather to show patients how to go about using safely if they wished to make CBD a part of their arthritis treatment.
